OUR STORY
Hi! We're Josh and Megan, a couple living a unique and vibrant life on the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii. We share a common passion for Jesus, adventure, community, and embracing life's many journeys. Josh serves in the Coast Guard, keeping the island waters safe and sound, while Megan is the creative brain behind Loquat Co, spreading the aloha with top-notch digital marketing for vacation rentals.
Rooted Ramblers is our way of sharing our extraordinary experiences and building a community that values every step of life's path. Here we mix fun, adventure, and a whole lotta aloha... because, hey, life's too short not to have a blast. We're all about embracing life's twists and turns & creating a community of joy-seekers like you who crave deep connection and perhaps a different perspective on our everyday journeys.

GROWING OUR FAMILY
Life itself is an adventure, and we are so here for these everyday journeys! Our story has its share of challenges, but we're keeping our spirits high and always laughing along the way. It's been one heck of a ride, filled with decades of endometriosis symptoms & surgeries, 6+ years of infertility, a couple of rounds of IUI, one IVF attempt that didn't quite go to plan, and now, the exciting buildup to round two of IVF.
You might be thinking, "Wow, that's a lot," and you're right! But we're not about dwelling on the tough times. We like to keep it light-hearted and uplifting because life's too short not to have a good time. Life is wild - but in the midst of everything, believe it or not, we are still hopeful! We know that whatever God's plan is, it’s for the better. As the rough waves toss us around, we know we have an anchor to keep us grounded!
First up, we've got the "Endometriosis Chronicles." Megan has been battling this relentless condition for decades, but it's just another part of the journey. This diagnosis is known to cause not only severe pain (considered to be in the top 20 most painful conditions), but also issues with starting a family. So infertility didn't come as a surprise to us, but the length of our "wait" has been trying.
We tried our luck with Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) not once but twice, and it wasn't the magic solution we hoped for. Our first round of IVF was a wild ride (think appointments, blood work, acupuncture, ultrasounds, needles, needles, needles), with plenty of twists and turns. It didn't go exactly as planned, but that's life for you. Now, we're prepping for round two of IVF with all the optimism in the world. We've got the love and support to face whatever comes our way.
And in the midst of it all, we were blessed with a beautiful foster daughter. Let me tell you, we're head over heels for her. Our lives are now filled with baby giggles, cuddles, and an abundance of love. Our hearts are bursting, and we know that every day with her is a blessing.
Life, man... It's an adventure, and we're loving every moment of it. So, that's where we're at, and we're excited to see where this adventure takes us next.
